Bootstrap Software, a leading software consulting firm in Manhattan, is looking for a Project Manager to help manage the development and maintenance of enterprise web based applications. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, experience managing software development projects, and the ability to communicate comfortably internally to senior management and with outside clients. At Bootstrap, the Project Manager is the focal point of each development team and provides value to the team in every phase of the software development life-cycle.
Duties Include:
- Daily project management
- Business analysis of new features, changes, and understanding of custom client applications
- User and functional requirement definition and documentation
- Create, manage and publish project plans in MS Project
- Manage entire software development life cycle
- Facilitate communications with development team, client, and managed service provider
- Management of on-shore & off-shore resources
- Provide internal / external status reports
- Frequent client interaction
- Team leadership
- Account management
- Crisis management
Qualifications & skills:
- Technical Project management experience – minimum 2 years
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to be a team leader
- Excellent oral, written, and organization skills
- Very detail oriented
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively is a key to success
- Must be results oriented, a fast learner and accepting of change
- Common sense approach is necessary
- MS Project/Word/Excel, Visio
-Experience working with offshore teams is a plus
